Renovation and adaptive reuse, coupled with a striking classroom wing addition created a suitable home for this internationally-acclaimed academic program. The three-story volume anchors the southeast corner of the campus with a heavily-articulated street façade, an appropriate response to its solar orientation and urban context. The courtyard face is more transparent, exposing the building’s circulation system and visually engaging with the outdoor space.
Judy was the primary contact between client and project team, guiding the design process to support the School’s mission. Construction documents were completed on schedule and within the $10.3 million budget; the building opened for the Fall 2005 semester.
